Request a Feature

Acceptable Requests

Not all feature requests are considered for addition in the core ACP. Some features will not be included because they go against the goals of the project. Others are left out because they are too specific and may not fit in a generalized combat system. In the latter case, these ideas may be shared as customizations or add-ons to the core system.

The features least likely to be accepted are ones that work directly for offense. Offense modules may be based on code in the ACP and take advantage of some of the mechanisms provided, but they won't be included in the project. The ACP takes care of your defense and healing, which frees you up to focus more on your offensive strategies. If the ACP included the offense, too, what would be left for you to do?

How to Make a Request

You may submit a formal feature request on the SourceForge project site. If you do this, please be certain you fill out all fields and give a detailed description of the feature you're requesting. Also, do not submit bug reports or complaints through the RFE (Request For Enhancement) page. "I wish it would cure mind batter better/faster" isn't a feature request (or even a bug report, necessarily).

If you have an idea that you'd like to toss around with the developers and don't want to submit it formally, feel free to send an e-mail. We are always glad to discuss ideas with the users and work to improve the system, making it more of what everyone really wants to see.

Lastly, keep in mind that not all ideas are feasible, especially given free time constraints. This project is maintained by volunteers with the knowledge and desire to provide a free defensive combat system. Not every feature will be workable with the tools or resources available, and so some things may be cut, or at least left up to the users for their own customizations.
