Join the Clan

Induction Process

Anyone who uses the ACP is welcome to join the clan. The clan is a private clan, so it does not show on anyone's honors (except the clan head). The side effect of this is that no one except clan members can view CLANHELP ACP to see the members capable of inducting others. To help with this problem, all the inductors are listed here, and anyone wishing to join the clan can use this as a reference on whom to contact for induction.

Inductors, please help anyone who contacts you. Ask them first which version of the ACP they are using (module name and ACP_VER number) to verify that they at least know something about the project.

To volunteer for the position of an ACP mentor, please contact Larkin for this, also.

What to Expect

Joining the ACP provides members with a few tangible benefits. There is a growing community of people who all use the ACP for one reason or another. Some of us need answers to questions, and others are willing to provide assistance.

You are more than welcome to ask questions on the clan channel, and if someone has the knowledge, you'll get a quick response. Often times, one question leads to more questions, and this realtime interaction helps to solve problems more easily than messages or e-mail. Any others in the clan who happen to overhear the conversation may get ideas or answers as a side effect of the discussion.

Developers sometimes use the channel to ask others about reported bugs, and a quick discussion will usually help narrow down the potential source of a problem. Provide good details to developers, if you can, and the bugs will get fixed much faster.

Members of the clan are the first to hear news regarding the project. If there is a new version released or a nasty bug is fixed, members are the first to know about it.
